In recent decades, the travel and tourism industry in Nepal has flourished and is growing primarily because of the stunning Himalayan landscapes and heart-warming Nepali hospitality. With an unparalleled combination of natural, cultural, and historical attractions, Nepal has become one of the most popular tourist destinations for mountaineering, adventure, or simply for trekking and cultural tours, jungle safari, wilderness trek, and other adventure sports and activities.
Accommodation facilities in tourist regions started to grow as Nepal opened its door to foreigners more than seventy decades ago in the 1950s. Even though compared to developed countries, there are fewer hotels or accommodation facilities in Nepal, you can find different categories of hotels available in different parts of the country. International standards star hotels to budget hotels and lodges are available across major tourist areas, including those of Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, Dhaulagiri, Pokhara, Chitwan, Kathmandu, and so forth.
Finding a place to sleep is hardly ever a problem in Nepal, although only the established tourist centers offer several choices. The hotel prices may vary considerably depending on hotel standards, your budget, and hotel location. The hotels can charge anything from a couple of dollars per night in trekking lodges to nearly 500 US dollars in Kathmandu, Chitwan, Pokhara, or Everest region.
Accommodation facilities are available in almost all parts of the country, including in the high hills, mountains, and Terai plains. The majority of trekking routes have lodges or tea houses to accommodate tourists. However, if you are traveling off-the-beaten trail, there are chances that you may not find proper hotels and lodges. However, as a trek and tour company, we will arrange tents for our clients, so you need not worry about lodging in the trek regions. However, during the spring and autumn seasons, hotels can be overbooked, and it might be hard to find rooms. Therefore, we request you to book treks well in advance.
Most places have a range of rooms, from the budget, shared-bathroom boxes to en suites with AC and cable TV. Hotels and guesthouses open bookings and reservations early, and we need to book early during the busy seasons, local festivals, or if you expect to arrive late at night.
Discovery world trekking has close relations and contacts with different categories of hotels, from non-star to five-star hotels across the country. We can recommend hotels as per your budget and requirements. Therefore, if you are looking for bookings, feel free to contact us prior to your visit.
