Discovery World Trekking has been operating treks for over two decades. In those years, we have reinvented ourselves repeatedly to provide a great trek experience to our valuable clients. Looking back and learning from experience, we now offer private treks only. We are among the few companies that cater to private trek groups and do not add anyone to your group. Similarly, we require at least two persons to organize the trek.
Whether you seek solitude in nature, quality time with loved ones, or the flexibility to explore at your own pace, a private trek offers an unparalleled trekking experience. With a dedicated guide and porter, personalized itineraries, and added comfort, private treks provide the perfect blend of adventure and exclusivity.
Most Nepali treks last more than a week, which means that who you trek with also greatly affects your experience. We conduct private treks to avoid uncertainty and let you enjoy the magnificent trails with your loved ones. Since we cannot know different people, private treks are disciplined, safer, and more fulfilling.
Here are some reasons to choose private treks rather than public/open group treks.

When it comes to trekking, choosing between a Private Trek and an Open/Shared Group Trek can make a significant difference in the experience. While both have advantages, private treks offer unmatched flexibility, comfort, and personalization, making them superior.
1. Tailored Itinerary & Flexibility
Private treks allow full control over the itinerary—adjusting the pace, adding rest days, or choosing preferred accommodations. Unlike group treks, there’s no need to stick to a rigid schedule.
2. Personalized Attention & Comfort
With a dedicated guide and porter focused solely on your group, a private trek ensures better guidance, safety, and assistance. Whether it’s dietary preferences, altitude concerns, or trekking pace, we can adjust everything as you need.
3. Exclusive & Peaceful Experience
Avoid the challenges of trekking with strangers. Private treks guarantee a more serene and enjoyable journey without being affected by group dynamics or mismatched trekking speeds.
4. Ideal for Families, Couples, Colleagues, or Friends
Whether it’s a honeymoon trek, a family adventure, or a close group of friends, a private trek ensures a more intimate experience without external disruptions.
5. Greater Control Over Safety & Health
Altitude sickness and fatigue affect people differently. On a private trek, decisions about rest, acclimatization, or emergency responses are based solely on your well-being rather than the needs of a mixed group.
You might think you can trek solo without joining a public group or a private group. However, since April 2023, the Nepal government has made it mandatory to have a licensed guide/porter while entering Nepal’s national parks and protected regions. Moreover, if you decide to go solo, you will be in a foreign remote land where there are chances that no one understands your language, and you may find yourself alone in a challenging terrain.
Here are the key differences between private and solo treks.
You can start by learning about the diverse treks. Nepal has plenty of trek routes that appeal to different people. Some treks in Nepal, such as the Poon Hill trek, are easy while others, such as Manaslu or Everest treks are intensive.
If you are a beginner or simply want to view the incredible Nepali terrain, you should stick to treks in lower regions. For those who want an intensive trek that lasts over a week, you can join the world-acclaimed routes such as the Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Circuit.
In case, you have difficulty deciding on a trek, you can get help from our expert call/WhatsApp/Viber our trek expert Paul at +9779840055491.
After deciding on the trek route, you need to choose the best season. Normally, spring (March, April, May) and autumn (September, October, November) are the best seasons for most treks.
However, if you love water or want to explore the rain shadow regions, you can book summer treks. Summer is also the Monsoon season in Nepal, which means you will find wet and slippery trails during these seasons. However, the monsoon rain adds greenery to the landscape. Check the individual trek you intend to complete and choose the season. Winter treks also provide fantastic views but high-altitude trek regions can be very cold and passes may be covered with heavy snow.
After deciding on a trek, note places that pique your interest. If you want to refine your itineraries, tell us. We will organize treks based on your interests. Customizing becomes easy while undertaking private treks.
After finalizing your choices, it is time to book your trek. You can book directly from our website. If you need more information, you can contact us through our Contact Us page.
Private treks in Nepal offer the best blend of adventure, comfort, and flexibility. Whether exploring Everest, Annapurna, Langtang, or beyond, a private trek ensures a personalized, safe, and enriching experience.
